If you brushed off the horror by turning away so casually,

then know that your indifference does not sit well with me.

If you are part of the consensus that what happened to me was justice done,

and at one point you mocked my suffering, thinking it was all in good fun.

If you chose to censor words, and swap them around,

because of the way an accurate account sounds.

If you danced around the truth, we have correct terms this day and age,

yet you shrouded it in mysticism so all could engage.

If you listened to a charismatic tale that bore my name,

yet you never approached me, letting me speak just the same.

If the whispers that carried by deceptive tongues,

made you believe, without hearing my voice, a song unsung.

If ambiguous shadows shaped your thoughts of me,

yet you fear my light, because you know what you will see.

If a pursuing predators savory voice of lies,

fed a craving in your undiscerning eyes.

If you did not seek my truth that has long been within,

but only in the aftermath of truth unveiled, your silence is sin.

If you seek guidance in my healing without acknowledging the truth of why,

then let it be known, that to me, your access is denied.

Because my compassion and the path that I have chosen,

is not your salvation while your voice stays frozen.

There’s no turning back the clock, your choice is set in stone,

it being your failure to validate me as I stood all alone.

Then you will stay away from me,

In the silence of my strength, I’ll start anew.
