The Joke That Ran Wild

The King ordered a Jester

But he didn't realize it was me

Before my life began I lost my dignity

He notices my face and gets really angry

Veins poppin' on his forehead as far as the eye can see

Aw, come on, Daddy!

You should have known I was an option

In the realm of possibility!

Hey, where's the Queen at when this should start?

Well didn't you know she ordered me à la carte?!

And that other whore always hated

That I was created from your own heart

They set the trap and now I’m the prey

Abiding by the rules, just caught in their game

The King's Jester but he doesn't find it funny?!

My entertainment doesn't cost him any money!

A special deal in the land of milk and honey!

He squints through the torches,

His face goes pale,

Aw, come on, Daddy!

He should’ve known I, too, could be for sale

The age limit was nothing but a suggestion

So I am now his entertainer without a question

A mockery, yes, but I’m all that they’ve got!

The Queen's cruel delight in a fool he forgot

Made to be broken and shame I will not be denied

The court roars laughing, I'm beaming with pride

Lick the dirt, choke on the wine

A joke’s just a joke, and I’m the punchline

The crowd laughs till they vomit, I grin till I break

But the King won’t laugh at my masochistic hate

Revulsion's the compulsion that courses through my veins

Searing through my bones,

What's wrong, big guy?

You should be basking in your throne,

For god's sake, you're the one in control

Come to think of it now I'm getting kind of angry

Ordered a Jester, well, it's something that I can be

Oh, look at your face, what kind of King are you?

Don't tell me now I am a joke that you outgrew!?

A bad girl punishment just answering the call

Look into my eyes as towards you I will crawl

I'll sing you a song, I am the entertainer after all!

Twinkle twinkle little defiler

Their little secret, I'm their perfect liar

Up above, they sit so grand

Hidden pleasure by their own hand

Twinkle twinkle I obey

To finding "love" in a million wrong ways

Daddy bailed, and now I’m screwed

A wreckage of "affection" in every dude

Na na na na boo boo a bloated disgrace

Wobbling around like I own the place

Jingling bells can’t hide that I dance like a hog

Crawling like a whore smelling worse than a dog

Paint my face with filth as I beg for more

The King's Jester that he doesn't seem to adore

I am reduced to nothing but sentient meat I'll keep squealing like a piggy then die at their feet

Silly little Jester, ruined and raw

Tell me, Daddy, did I amuse you at all?

Because my mother and the others

Seemed to think you'd enjoy watching me fall

Mascara rivers, but at least my hands were tied with lace

The once desperate grins now rotting off their face

Tears like jewels speak of anguish through the sting,

‘Cause I'm the fool who danced while they pulled the string

I'm a good little bitch for hysteria's reign

Yet in time I will be the one who is yanking the chain

This is what you wanted! Final words howled at the throne

In my eyes lit a fire that strips to the bone

To be nothing, to be scorned, what a thrill!

Masochistic pleasure in pain honed my skill

It’s an empty kill when they try to defile me still

Bone kissed by the searing touch of flame

I find peace in the echo of my own disdain

I’m a filthy thing, a toy to be tossed!

There's pleasure to be found in the pain of the cost

Debauchery's notes to my ears music so sweet

Sacred steps danced in the dirt of defeat

A joke so revolting they choke on their own spit

But hey, the real whore says it wasn't me that they hit

Shamed into laughter, my soul liquefied

A fool for their indulgence, debased and defiled

And then I became the joke that ran wild

The jest that no throne can tame

The clown who will smile as they curse my name
