Gemini eyes

I am one in the same

Divorce court settlement will say who is to blame

I am one yet split apart

A fractured echo of a broken heart

Profit off disfigurement For even in disfigurement’s face

There lies a strength, a quiet grace

The Opera would not be without this phantom

A genius unseen he crafts the anthem

His love already sworn

He hides away for fear of scorn A face deformed, a visage so strange

Yet his heart will never change

The hero seeks to prove his worth

While the phantom stays hidden locked in the earth

Both long for love but fear the cost

For Hercules's soul and the phantom’s both are lost

In the greed of another

Who many would call their own mother A tale of one made from another

While a different one created a brother

Milked like a cow for his gifts, his grace

His talent reduced to a marketplace

The DNA of a legend coveted and sold

An the tether for a mother's strength to own

A Jack for Jill

Covers incestuous shrill

Transactions in advance long withdrew

No affair to be had, nothing to admit to

Tangled knots that only one knew While the world around them had no clue

Men turned vessels their essence drained

Their legacy traded as their freedom chained

The hero's worth becomes their dream

Not for love, nor a bond to share

But for the power they think their bloodlines bear.

A child of seeds

Not an image of anyone

Profit off the now disfigured one

Beneath the mask the world can't see

The passion, the genius, his silent plea

But fear of rejection keeps him concealed

His love unspoken

His pain unhealed

For who could love the face that frightens?

When all he gives is talent and skill, heightened

Can you honor a man with a face so ugly?

If not then leave him be

That's how he will know who is for him

And who is for him, who will truly be

In darkness his soul burns bright

Yet hidden he waits for love's true light

He dreams of her eyes, unafraid

At least one who will truly gaze

But for now their are children of seeds

Until there is at least one with integrity

He has to hide, a shadow unseen

The phantom of a love that should have been

There is Atom and then there is the Evening star

Bound by the thread of what we are

Is there one who'll see the truth unshaken?

Who won't rewrite the pain forsaken?

Will at least one face the chaos not turn away?

Will one tell the story as it lay?

He wishes upon a star of hope...yes, one day.

Until then, be not afraid

For truth has a face the world betrayed

Like Hephaestus forging fire's grace,

The light of truth will find its place.
