You who sent the demon to my door,
Thinking I would fall through the floor,
You did not realize, and to you it did not seem,
That I hold the key to the realm where shadows scream.
You call them black magic, your occult pagan crap,
Ridiculous chants and curses that snap.
But these demons are more than your lies and your lore,
They’re the truth you can’t swallow, the parts you ignore.
These demons are just a mirror of you,
Reflecting your darkness, your fears, your skewed view.
So as it whispered, “I am Asmodeus, dark and dread,
The prince of lust, the devil well fed."
I laughed and said, “That’s far too grand,
I’ll call you Oedipus, as per my command.”
For who sent you sits in the shadow of his mother,
An Oedipus Complex tangles him, so that he finds love with no other.
Her touch is a chain, her love, a cage,
So he spins in circles, consumed by rage.
Her whispers have become his own,
A haunting seed long overgrown.
So he sends his own demons, shackled tight,
Still bound to her in an endless night.
The snarl softened, pride stripped bare,
Reduced to a name it couldn’t bear.
For all its power, it fell from grace,
As I mocked its name to its fiery face.
I pulled it close, its burning eyes wide,
I looked directly at it, no fear to hide,
I twirled it ‘round, amused by its little game,
I dressed its horns in bows, and something else it became.
I placed it in a tutu, flared, pink and bright,
The demon shuddered, lost in its plight.
It howled in protest, tried to break free,
But I held the leash and taught it humility.
At first, it growled like a beast untamed,
But something shifted, something changed.
The tutu fit, the bows were bright,
And in its eyes, a flicker of delight.
For me it softened, lost in the dance,
Swallowed by love, lost in a trance.
It followed my steps, no longer a threat,
A demon no longer, nor creature, my pet.
I showed it compassion, no judgment, no scorn,
Wrapped it in love, like a new life reborn.
No longer a creature of darkness and fear,
It is now my friend who would stay, forever near.
With every soft word, its walls fell away,
And in place of a demon, a companion would stay.
Unspoken, yet deep, a bond now was spun,
A friendship that bloomed, two souls as one.
So as you sent the demon to my door,
Thinking I'd be dragged to hell, and be no more
You failed to see the truth of me,
That I hold the power to set both dark and light free.
I am the home where love resides,
Where light and darkness both collide.
I hold them close, in tender grace,
Within my walls, they find their place.
For love is not just soft and sweet,
But also fierce, where shadows meet.
Where you create chaos, I harbor grace,
A flicker of peace in the demon’s face.
In the heart of hell we forge an endless bond,
Where darkness and light, together, respond.
Seamless together their threads are woven tight,
Because shadows are born from the spark of light.
So the darkness you sent to break me,
Didn’t know I am who it needed in order to be free.
For in my embrace, it came to know,
Even shadows need a place to grow.
It came with fury, teeth bared wide,
But in my gaze, it found no place to hide.
It sought to tear me, to burn me whole,
But in my presence, it knows its soul.
For it hadn’t known, until it met my eyes,
That even shadows seek the light to rise.
Take your arrogance, your hatred, your spite,
For the demon you sent doesn’t cause me fright.
Shame on you for shaming the darkness,
As if it’s something vile, as if it's heartless.
You labeled it evil, so you sent it to break,
But in its embrace, I found no mistake.
Shame on you for not seeing it clear,
The darkness you fear is what I hold dear.
Now the demon and I, together we stand,
A bond forged not by force, but hand in hand.
Shame on you for thinking it’s wrong,
That light and dark both in love do belong.
For now you know that it is you who failed to see,
That the darkness you called upon, is actually me.
And those demons you "sent" are born of your own mind,
Creations of your fear and your hatred combined.
A construct of your intention to cause strife,
Woven from the fabric of your own life.
So now you shall reap what you have sown in you,
A prophecy born from the seeds your own hands threw.
This is what you wanted, so why the surprise?
You summoned your demons, now face their eyes.
