Laughing in the shadows when misery’s the muse,
Painted with my pain, the art of schadenfreude, with a signature of you.
I can see your hunger clear, a broken soul that feeds on fear.
A canvas of cruelty, each tear, a splash, each wound, a hue.
An artist in the shadows, you revel in the hurt you drew.
Your laughter rings hollow, a discordant chime, as you dance along the edges of a silent crime.
The gallery you’ve built is framed in shame,
Signed in suffering, the absence of a name.
There is no beauty in the image you left behind, just traces of sorrow that your darkness has designed.
You wear your cruelty like a mask of pride,
Yet within your core, insecurities reside.
You throw stones in the shadows, yet fear the return, you’re a coward at heart, unwilling to learn.
It’s all fun and games when you play the master’s role,
Dancing on the ruins of every buried soul.
You think you’ve won a game, your immaturity on display, because the shadows whisper truths you cannot wish away.
Oblivious to the ashes that lie beneath their feet as they feel no remorse,
That every step they take ignites my inner force.
With every laugh they share and mockery of my pain, their fleeting joy reminds me, I have something to reclaim.
And I’ll rise from these ruins, unbroken and uncontrolled,
With each shard of my past, a new story unfolds.
I’ll reclaim what is mine, and ignite the fierce flame, for strength lies within me and I can never be tamed.
The echoes of anguish, they fade with each breath,
Leaving whispers of hope where there once was death.
And your masterpiece will fade in time, opening the heart to a light that's divine.
For the brushes you use to paint with pain are destined to rust,
And the laughter that lingered will fade into dust.
Your colors of cruelty can’t hold me confined, I’ve found my own strength in the scars you designed.
What was the art of schadenfreude, now a canvas of my own truth,
With strokes of forgiveness and wisdom forged from my youth.
So go on, laugh in the shadows, while I stand in the light, I’ve turned your dark canvas into my future so bright.
I love this so much 💕 Ty for helping Me find My voice again. More than My voice.. My love for Words, as well.
