Ok

Ok

Don't mean I got nothing to say

I see words like geometric shapes

Eh you know what fuck it

You won't understand anyway

This ain’t your story

This ain’t your fight

You don’t get to use my darkness as your light

To make a quick buck

Like the uncle you fuck.

Hey so tell me

What's the skin tone of poverty?

Before I get the sentence out

There you go with your fucking mouth

"Aktchually

Facktchually

Don't check my facts factually

Can I get a pumpkin spice latte?

Make it grande"

Looking past the fact

Of the one

Who hasn't eaten in 4 days

Throwing your cup on the ground

Sacred land of those who have found

A way to survive

And you mock their life

"Oh don't walk down that street

It's full of dirty feet

Yuck!"

Do you taste your privilege?

Does it linger, rich and bold

While someone else's ribs whisper stories untold?

Sitting in silence

While the world profits off pain it does not know

They make it a movie scene, a hashtag,

But never the real show.

Ok

Ok

My silence don't mean I got nothing to say

You wear "ghetto" like a coat you can wear,

Take it off then go back to somewhere

Safe, clean, untouched by the fight

While we live it day and night

Never begging for a hand

Learned the hard way that survival’s a demand

But what would this white girl know,

Then you'll call me a hoe,

What color is the skin of the streets

That you're claiming to know?

That's right

We're a rainbow

Brown, tan, black, white,

Every shade in the struggle,

Every tone in the fight.

But you rock it like fashion,

Like poverty’s in season,

Never stop to ask the reason

Why we bleed just to breathe

We relate to each other

How neither of us got to eat

Now that bond is deep

When you don't get to sleep

And you stay up all night

For the safety of your life

But what does this white girl know?

Bitch you don't know the hands I will throw

Don't misconfuckingstrue

The two wolves that live inside me

You pretend that live inside you

Don't get me fucking wrong

This ain't a vibe

This ain't for likes

This is the grind where the pain ignites

What happened to my fucking speech?

Did you hear my voice when I was walking the streets?

I taught myself discipline

Never admitting defeat

Learned to stay focused though the world tried to bend

Found strength in the struggle

Where I watched others see their end

Kept my mind sharp

Kept my heart locked tight

Pushed through the dark

Kept my future in sight.

Because I learned in order to be understood

I can't show you the hood

I have to speak good

Hide the rage, hide the fight,

Smiling through bullshit pretending it's right

But you don’t know the cost

Of keeping it calm

Inside me is a nuclear bomb

Just waiting to go off

But you will just scoff

Bitch you don't know

The fire I hold

The stories untold

You see the peace, but miss the war

The quiet riot of the things I endure

So don’t assume you know the fight

I'm like lightning ready to strike

I’m Cheshire smiling in the dark

Hiding in the night

You're in my sights

Tell me what is the skin color of poverty?

Do you know my ethnicity?

You've already judged what you seen

In your delusional fantasy

Discrimination only works one way

And which way is that? Let me say

It’s the one where you sit in your glass house all day.

Lucky for you I have stones to throw

And unlike you I show my hands

And I let the world know

My crazy is something I show

Because where I come from

You don't look in the eye

Head down unless you'd like a surprise

Fist up your head

So keep it down until you have cred

ibility, yeah, that’s the deal

Words don’t mean shit if you ain’t real

Aktchually

Faktchually

The statistics show

You don't fucking know

You not built for this heat

So don’t act like you from the streets

Your privilege loud

Your silence louder

You don't go to jail for sugar powder

That’s for the "animals" you claim are louder

But your fucking nose? It tells the truth

Sniffing lines while they lock up youth

Privilege screams, but silence devours

Yet you rely on us in the final hours

I’ve walked where the concrete bleeds

Where cruelty plants its deepest seeds

You sip your drink, I clench my fists

We ain’t the same

We coexist.

But know this...

If you step in my space,

Wearing my pain like it's some face,

I’ll strip it bare,

Lay it raw,

Show you the truth you never saw.

So keep it real,

Or keep it distant.

The wolves inside me ain't coexistent

They ready to fight

They're fed by the night

They don't get along

Until they write the same song

You pose in the struggle,

Capture the frame,

Hashtag our pain,

But you don't know the name

Of the streets where survival’s the only game

You walk through like you own the vibe

But tread light, and know your place

This ain’t some aesthetic you can embrace

It’s my home, my grind, my fight to stay

And your latte won’t wash the pain away

This is my hell

This is my story to tell

The one that you profited off, my pain

But I’m the storm that’s coming to break the chain
