My Love, This Is The Answer

Writer's picture: RoseRose

One day I heard so clearly, a voice of my own, so sweetly,

"My love, ask me any question, and I will answer it in honesty."

Absolutely any question? I spoke in startled response.

Yes. It replied with calm assurance, a truth that bore no false pretense.

I will answer any question, truths unknown, and secrets yet to be unfurled,

Surely you must have questions, there are 8 wonders of the world.

You have read a conspiracy or ten, and there's many a gnostic text,

There's many talks of UFO's, and mysteries that leave you perplexed.

Should you ask of ancient secrets, or the stars' unspoken lore?

Of gods, of ghosts, of endless realms, or what lies beyond death's door?

Okay I have my question! I responded rapid fire,

My mind racing with curiosity, I want to know of your desire.

What is the time of day where the light hits your soul,

On a certain altitude, that reminds you that you're whole?

And what I really mean by that, is if it's a sunset or sunrise,

And what I really mean by that is the color palette of the sky,

And what I really mean by that, is when you see it with your own eyes,

Do you reconnect to a part of yourself that takes you by surprise?

And what I am trying to ask, when this moment all comes together so profound,

Does it feel like silence is just the universe's sacred sound?

Stirring something timeless, ancient, and true,

A reminder that the cosmos resides within you?

As the silence persisted, I had wondered if I messed up

I could ask any question, yet, I wanted to fill your cup.

How many inquiries do you think he receives a day?

And how many do you think include wondering what he'd say?

Does anybody ask his favorite ice cream flavor,

Or seek his thoughts on life, love, or what they truly savor?

Did I say the wrong thing? Silence louder than before,

A weight in the air, like a storm at the door.

And since this voice called me "my love," how could I not respond?

In the most sincere way, a term of endearment my soul is so fond.

One sided relationships may be selfish to know more,

But I still yearn for the answers that you keep at your core.

So in the silence, I wait, though you’re distant and far,

Because my heart knows you, no matter where you are.

Then at a later date, as I stood on the beach looking out,

The sky was set ablaze, with colors swirling about.

The horizon burned with hues of crimson and gold,

A breathtaking sight, as the day to night unfold.

The sun was at the perfect height, eye contact made direct,

I felt that peculiar feeling of where my soul connects.

A soft breeze whispered truths, too deep to deny,

In that sacred silence, I knew I was alive.

And then in my awe, I heard the voice so clearly,

"My love, this is the answer you were looking for, so dearly."
