But when everything inevitably falls apart, and it will, because delusion can only go so far before reality smacks it in the face they better not come running, pointing fingers at the one who was trying to warn them. Scapegoat season is over as is the whistleblower who gets shot for telling people the fire’s real.

They think accountability is an attack and deception is a virtue. God forbid anyone actually take responsibility for their actions...full Twilight Zone. You own up? You’re the villain. Let them keep shifting blame like it’s a game of hot potato because reality is about to slap the taste out of their mouths.
A backwards reality where owning up gets you crucified but delusion gets a standing ovation. People would rather high five a lie than shake hands with the truth, meanwhile, the actual predator, the manipulator, the one causing real harm thrives. Nice. You're public enemy #1 while the ones who actually destroy lives get treated like misunderstood saints, they'll even roll out a red carpet!
They don’t want truth. They want a scapegoat. The worst evils don’t need horns. They hide behind politeness, fake innocence, behind the comforting lie that keeps people blind and complacent. Waging war against the obvious while holding hands with the hidden threat.
