The Devil Has No Wisdom, But It Does Have Information

This is for your own personal discernment and consideration and purely stems from my own perspective.

In my experience being on Social Media for the last 2 years, I find myself in a very unique position as you may or may not know, I was called to be on YouTube from a dream I was given by my deceased Grammy and Aunt Caroline. I was not a Tarot reader, and you all watched me learn how to read the cards every single time I picked them up and posted a video, coupled with my own reading of books to understand the archetypes and the history of Tarot and its intended purpose. I felt completely out of place and nervous, but as I continued, I realized I had unlocked a part of me that I did not believe I would ever see again, a door that was slammed shut, and that was the ability to speak, and this was our journey together, because as much as I gave you the strength to see your own story be validated, you gave me the strength to be myself again, and this was something I had never expected.

Some of the most heartfelt things I have been told by you wonderful people:

  1. Rose, you validated me. This is real. I feel seen. I feel heard.

  2. Rose, you gave me the words and I am going to use them now.

  3. I thought I was the only one going through this and no one would ever believe my story, I am so relieved I am not alone.

  4. I feel like I have the strength to move forward after being in complete darkness.

  5. Every single time you guys tell me how loved you feel.

I have come up with a concept that I like to call "The Devil's Approach" to information.

Ultimately, you should feel liberated from the constraints of excessive information and empowered to stand firm in your own wisdom. It's essential to recognize when external influences are clouding your judgment and overwhelming your sense of self.

If you find yourself trapped in a cycle of confusion and dependency, don’t hesitate to reclaim your power. Tell that devil to go back to hell and to stop using your life as its own personal playground, break free and embrace the clarity and strength that comes from within yourself.

Guidance, information, or anyone worth their salt speaking to you should nurture an understanding within you and encourage a deeper connection to yourself. By embracing compassion, empathy, and the insights drawn from personal experiences, you cultivate a framework for growth that fosters the most genuine relationship with you, eradicating oppression and finding freedom from the chains of shame and allowing yourself to truly love and accept yourself in your entirety. This enriched understanding not only allows you to navigate life’s complexities with greater clarity but also empowers you and brings you from the level of survival, to truly thriving.

What I believe it boils down to is this; when talking about the context of spirituality, mysticism, or any sort of external guidance, do you feel empowered to move on from the information you have received and have you strengthened the belief in yourself, or do you feel so confused that you are now paralyzed in information overload relying on someone else to tell you what happens next, in what feels like an endless wait?

Knowledge without wisdom can lead us astray rather than illuminating our path forward. As we navigate a world overflowing with information, reels, content creators and influencers, the challenge lies not in knowing more, but in discerning what is worth listening to; what leads us toward clarity, purpose, and wisdom. The "Devil" embodies a lack of discernment to know what information to give, to whom, and when to give it. This approach fosters confusion and misunderstanding, as it neglects the essential context, timing, and audience needed for meaningful communication.

When it comes to understanding the difference between information and wisdom, I like to think of them as representing two levels of knowledge:

  • Information is the accumulation of data or facts: what we learn, read, or consume. It's what we know in a raw sense. You can find information in books, school, on the internet, or through personal experiences. Information can be used to understand things. It can be true, useful, or even misleading, depending on the context and source.

  • Wisdom, on the other hand, is about how we apply that information, integrating it with experience, ethics, and deeper understanding. Wisdom takes time to develop, as it involves reflection, context, and a sense of discernment that goes beyond the surface level of facts. Wisdom uses information effectively, and considers personal discernment and personal understanding. Wisdom integrates experience, empathy, and insight.

Compelling Yet Misleading Information
  • Presenting seemingly credible facts, such as "an important man's name begins with D," can create a compelling narrative that draws attention or resonates deeply, but such statements often lack context and depth, leading audiences to form misguided conclusions based on incomplete or selective information.
  • "The Devil's Approach" often serves to garner emotional reactivity rather than provide genuine insight, reinforcing personal biases and leading to an incomplete understanding of complex relationships and situations.

Fostering Dependency
  • Some content plays on emotions like fear, outrage, or urgency, manipulating the audience to drive engagement. This creates a sense of panic or confusion, fostering dependence on the content creator for more information while offering little genuine wisdom or clarity. You should feel empowered to stand back up again and continue walking the path forward and not frozen waiting for what to be told next.

  • I have noticed, that often this fostering stems from the content creator's own uncertainties, lack of understanding, or credentials in a given subject. When creators themselves do not possess knowledge or wisdom, they may project this gap or confusion onto their audience. I have noticed that instead of offering insight, they continually present more information or catchy terms that lack a context and coherence. I believe that this creates a cycle where their audience feels compelled to seek, like they need more content or more answers to achieve clarity, which never truly comes.

    • Example: When comparing the High Priestess and The Magician in Tarot, simply stating "Manipulation, black magic, illusion, and confusion" lacks cohesion and context. This interpretation misses the essential relationship between the two cards and does not consider the environment or the situation. By incorporating this article's theme, we see that the information a person provides is shaped by their unique background, education, and life experiences. Ultimately, the individual is responsible for the quality of the information that they not only receive, but what they are realistically able to offer, and how high up the totem pole they are willing to put themselves in being a self proclaimed "seer."

What's The Cost?
  • Many creators generate revenue by producing content that focuses on information rather than wisdom, sacrificing depth and long term value, focusing on short term engagement rather than contributing meaningful insights or understanding.

Misleading by Overwhelm:
  • The Devil's Approach involves using information to overwhelm or mislead, playing on fear and confusion. It may tempt you with facts or appealing bits of knowledge, but ultimately, it lacks the wisdom needed to direct you toward fulfillment or truth. It cannot be argued that someone may have a have a lot of information and can keep you listening, however, it lacks the depth of understanding or moral insight needed to guide anyone.
  • In the end, the overwhelming barrage of information leads to paralysis, leaving us feeling frozen and unable to move forward, trapped in a cycle of confusion rather than gaining the clarity and insight needed for meaningful steps forward. We are now stuck in a never ending game of ping pong between ourselves and the presented information.

Appeal to Instant Gratification:
  • A lack of concern for ethics often leads content creators to prioritize profit over integrity, resulting in misleading information or superficial guidance that exploits the audience's vulnerabilities for a gain, whether it be a boost to the storyteller's ego or a financial gain. Certain content creators in specific categories often capitalize on the audience's desire for quick answers and immediate insights, thus generating income with minimal investment in depth or expertise.
  • Many content creators pursue emotional gratification or seek ego profit by leveraging their audience's vulnerabilities, providing superficial insight, and crafting narratives that validate feelings or beliefs, which ultimately boosts their own sense of self-worth while keeping followers dependent on their perspective.

Tempting Facts
  • A person could provide you with facts or informational tidbits that are accurate, but they will not lead you toward any wise conclusions.
The Illusion of Empowering Guidance
  • Offering surface level interpretations that appeal to curiosity or entertainment rather than providing meaningful insights or wisdom. The illusion of guidance is created when, without a deep understanding of the subject, a generic interpretation that appeals to trends but lack true spiritual, educational, or philosophical depth, and leaves the audience with information rather than personal empowerment or wisdom.

So, how would we know what is worth listening to in order to help us move forward?

What is Worth Listening to Does Not Instill Panic or Confusion
  • Truth or wisdom is characterized by its clarity and calmness.
  • Does not seek to manipulate through fear, panic, or confusion.
  • Instead, it provides clarity and help align the listener with their deeper values or sense of purpose.
  • It encourages you to further expand your knowledge and educate further.

Clear Messages Work with You
  • Truth or wisdom is often cooperative rather than coercive:
  • It works with you, meaning it resonates with your inner sense of what is right. It fits with your intuition or experience, offering you guidance that feels natural rather than forced.
  • The right path doesn't require you to abandon your sense of self or feel overwhelmed, but instead aligns with your internal compass, fostering understanding and peace.

Messages That Prioritize Connection: Compassion, Empathy, and Authenticity
  • Compassion: Recognizing and responding to the struggles of others with kindness, fostering a supportive environment that encourages healing and understanding rather than judgment or dismissal.
  • Empathy: Enables individuals to truly understand and share the feelings of others, facilitating open communication and a deeper emotional bond that allows for shared experiences and mutual support.
  • Connection to Personal Experience: Drawing on personal experiences helps create a foundation for authentic conversations and insights that empower both the speaker and listener to move forward together.
  • Authenticity and Happiness: Empowers you to embrace your authentic self, leading to greater fulfillment and happiness as you cultivate genuine connections with yourself.
